2023 Lariat vs 2024 Flash

Hey everyone,

I am currently looking to buy an F-150 Lightning, and I have noticed that the 2023 Lariat is priced similarly to the 2024 Flash, thanks to some additional rebates on the older model. Could anyone explain the differences between the two models? Is the 2024 Flash an improvement over the 2023 Lariat in terms of build quality?

Also, if it is okay, I would appreciate knowing how much they are selling for in your area after rebates. I’m open to traveling to other states for better deals.

Thanks in advance!

The price difference between a 2024 Flash and any Lariat Extended Range model is about $5-6k. For that extra cost, the Lariat offers:

  • Phone-as-a-key feature
  • Moonroof
  • Rear sliding window
  • Cool tailgate lightbar
  • Memory settings for seats, mirrors, and pedals
  • Ventilated front seats
  • Heated outboard seats in the second row
  • Leather upholstery

Specific features of the 2023 Lariat include:

  • 9.6kW Pro Power as standard
  • 3 years of Bluecruise included
  • Free charger
  • HomeLink visor with garage opener included
  • 72 months at 0% APR

In my opinion, the Lariat is worth it, especially if you can still find a 2023 model.

I would choose the 2023 Lariat again just for the charger and BlueCruise. I’m on the highway every day for work.

I have not heard of any build quality differences between the 2023 and 2024 models.

The 2024 has a heat pump instead of the resistive heat and conventional A/C found in the 2023. This could improve winter efficiency by 5-15% if you’re in a mid-latitude or colder climate, but it won’t affect summer efficiency, so it’s probably not a factor for those in warmer areas like the deep south or SoCal.

There are some trim and styling updates, which you can check out on the stickers.

The 2024 Extended Range (ER) trucks come with a single A/C charger, limiting home charging to 48A/240V. The 2022-2023 ER trucks had a dual A/C charger and could handle up to 80A/240V (19.2kW) with the right home charger and circuit, though most people don’t have that setup.
