I love this truck, 32k miles. I avoided anything under 2022 because I know about cam phaser issues in the older models. This is an XLT and I could not be happier. 3.5 L eco-boost. I always shut off the auto start-stop feature.
What should I be aware of and what upgrades are possible while under the 36k bumper-bumper and the 60k power train warranty?

I got so tired of hitting the auto start/stop button every time I just gave up.

I think in the long run it might help with MPG, but it also puts extra stress on the engine.

Yeah, I get that. I never keep my trucks long enough for it to matter, but I wish they’d let us default it to off.

Cam phaser issues were only with the old 5.4L, and that engine was gone after 2010.

Cam phaser problems were definitely a thing with Ecoboost engines until at least 2021, maybe even later.
