I can’t seem to find a way to configure a 2024 Lariat with ProPower 9.6kW on the Ford site. The documentation says it’s an optional feature but I can’t find one at any dealer within 200 miles. Has anybody seen one of these out in the wild?
I have a dealer looking but they don’t seem real motivated. You can’t configure it on any trim, so I’m wondering if they are dropping it for all but Lariat. Don’t you have to have it for bidirectional power, even with the charger and full install?
@Marley
No, you don’t need it for bidirectional power—it’s via the charge station pro cable.
The best way I’ve found them is to go on CarEdge and search for Lightings in your zip code, within 50 or 100 miles. Look for Lariats with a price around $81k. Lariat base pricing is around $79k, and the 9.6kW is an additional $1200. That’s the easiest way to find them, but they’re not too common.
@Marley
Production has stopped for the year, is my guess. I’ve had the best luck with the finder tool, using a large radius and the ‘pickup soonest’ filter. The ones with options tend to rise to the top at dealers’ lots. I’ve had almost no luck finding them in Ford’s ready-to-deliver inventory.
I was just about to make the same post. Thinking about upgrading from my 23 XLT ER, but not willing to give up pro power. Don’t want a flash, because that’s basically an XLT ER with a big screen, not a real upgrade. Anyone know how to search for one? I’m in FL if it matters.
@Breezy
It’s a downgrade because no dual onboard chargers.

Yeah, true. I’d be okay, but it comes in handy. I charge to 90% overnight and the last 10% in the morning so the battery doesn’t sit at 100%. I use the full 80A charger. But the 7.2kW pro power in the bed is a must for me. After past storms, I want to be able to power my house off my truck rather than rely on gas.
I’m in the same boat. Asked someone at a Ford dealer, and they said it’s an option. They also said they could install it later, so not sure how reliable that info was.

I don’t think you can easily install it later.
@Presley
I don’t either, that’s why I took what they said with a grain of salt.
From what I’ve seen, it seems you need to add the max towing package to get pro power on the '24 Lariat. Haven’t seen any without max towing.

Max tow requires pro power, but you can get pro power without the max towing package.
I don’t think they are making them anymore like that. When I did ‘build and price’ on Ford’s website, it wasn’t listed as an option for the Lariat.
Try looking for one with max tow.
The issue is that almost none of the Lariats were made or ordered with Pro Power Onboard or Max Towing Package because it pushes the price over the $80k limit to qualify for the $7500 EV tax credit.
You pay ~$2500 for the Max Tow + Pro Power add-on but lose $5500 in tax credit savings. If you want those features, consider a Platinum. They don’t qualify for the EV tax credit either, but they’re easier to find and have all those features. There’s a beautiful 2023 Red Platinum near me for sale with every option. PM me for info if you’re interested.
@Rex
Pro Power and max towing put the price at $79k before the destination fee, which doesn’t count against MSRP for the tax credit.
