I’ve been pretty disappointed to see that the Pro Power Onboard feature is almost exclusively available on lower trim levels or Platinum models. Is this just in my area, or is this the general trend for the 2024 models?
I was hoping to utilize that feature for home power backup… it’s a bummer.

The Pro Power feature is very rare on the 2024 Lariats because it pushes the MSRP over the $80k limit for the tax credit.
I have it in mine. My MSRP was still under the limit even with the red paint and the Pro Power included. You don’t have to include shipping when calculating the tax credit.
If there were many like mine, they likely got snatched up because they were desirable and under the tax limit, so I wouldn’t be surprised if most are gone now.
Honestly, I would have loved the Flash package, but I went for Pro Power unless there’s a must-have feature on the Lariat (I particularly wanted the cooled seats).
Interestingly, mine came with two window stickers. One price was about $1k lower, so I guess Ford reduced the MSRP during the year, but both prices would still qualify for the tax credit.
Pro Power pushes it over the $80k limit, essentially making it a $9,000 option. If you’re missing the tax credit, you might as well go for the Platinum. Hence, there aren’t many Pro Power Lariats out there.
I have a 2023 model with both 9.6kW and the tow package. You could check if there are any 2023 Lariats or Platinums left available at a discount or consider shopping out of state for a 2024 with Pro Power.
I installed a generator inlet to power my home using the truck as you mentioned. It’s an amazing peace of mind knowing that I can do this.

What are the notable differences between the 2023 and 2024 models apart from the heat pump? I’ve found one 2023 model, but it doesn’t offer the tax credit, included charger/installation, or 0% financing, which undermines any discount it may have over the 2024 version.
@Ash
That claim about the tax credit is inaccurate (unless it’s a used model).
The biggest perks of the 2024s are the financing deals and incentives. But if you can get a 2023 for an equivalent overall cost as a 2024, I’d choose the 2023. Just ensure it’s an Extended Range model.
The 2023 will come with Pro Power as standard, trailer brake controller, 3 years of free BlueCruise, and 80A charging. You will, however, lose the heat pump, advanced security features, and onboard bed scales.
@Ellery
The options I see are either used or have an MSRP exceeding 80k. That dealer doesn’t have the window sticker available online, so I’m waiting to get the detailed MSRP to check whether it could still qualify.
@Ash
You should calculate what a 2024 would cost with 0% interest, tax credit, etc., and then negotiate with the dealer for the 2023 by telling them your desired price. If you leverage the 2024 offers against the 2023, they might give you an even better deal to clear stock.
