2022 Lariat ER here. After the CSP 24B56 update last week, I enabled the In-Lane Repositioning and Lane Change Assist features using FORScan.
Had a chance to try out BC1.4 on a short drive between Austin and San Antonio, and it was impressive! It handles sharper turns, keeps to the lane center much better, and had zero disengagements on the whole trip. The lane change assist was also really smooth – just a quick turn signal tap and it does the lane change for you if there’s enough room.
Ford’s made a lot of progress here, but as my title says, it’s a bummer I had to enable these features myself. Hopefully, Ford will improve OTA updates to make things easier for everyone.

I guess it’s a risk then. And reading the other reply, it sounds complicated. Maybe I’ll just wait until Ford releases it officially.
What they’re referring to doesn’t involve FORScan. The IMPA update is done by the dealer for CSP 24B56, but you can do it yourself with a compatible cable and an FDRS subscription.

Once you start with FORScan, it’s a rabbit hole, haha. I’ve made tons of tweaks. Then I got stuck on version 6.8 and had to update all the modules myself, which took about six hours and some expensive tools.

What’s the BCM update for auto lock walk-away? Is it a CSP? I asked about it for my 2023 Lariat ER, but they didn’t know about it.
What year/model do you have? It’s not a CSP so the dealer doesn’t really have to do it and some may try to charge for it. It probably takes less than 10min including getting everything set up but unfortunately the BCM is the one module that can’t be updated in FDRS by the average joe so the dealer is the only route. Below is a partial list of all the modules that I had requiring an update in FDRS.

Does enabling these features with FORScan affect your warranty? I’m curious about using it but don’t want to risk voiding my warranty.
If you back up each module in FORScan before making changes, you can always revert if something goes wrong. But to enable the latest BlueCruise features, you need the IPMA update, which requires a different OBDII cable and an FDRS subscription.
