Considering a 2024 F150 Hybrid... need your advice!

I’m thinking about getting a 2024 F150 Hybrid but can’t decide if it’s the right move. How’s the performance and acceleration? Do you actually see any fuel savings? I’d love to hear from those of you who own one—how has your experience been overall?

I’ve got a 2024 PowerBoost with about 1,800 miles on it. At first, the engine/hybrid transitions annoyed me—they felt clunky. But now I barely notice it. I have the 302A XLT with the 7.2kW inverter, and I feel like it has everything I need. I’d definitely buy it again!

@Chen
I’ve got a similar setup but without the BAP package. About 3,300 miles in, and I only really notice the transition in Eco mode or at very low speeds (like reversing). I’m getting 22-23 MPG, which is better in regular mode than Eco for some reason. Love the power and response though.

@Chen
I have a 2021 PowerBoost, and I can’t feel the switch from gas to electric at all. Maybe the transitions will smooth out as you put more miles on yours?

I’ve got a 2023 XLT PowerBoost. It’s not as fuel-efficient as I hoped, but I’d still buy it again. It does feel a bit jerky when shifting sometimes, but no major issues otherwise.

I own a 2023 PowerBoost. It’s super powerful, even without sport mode. For mileage, I get about the same range with the 26-gallon hybrid tank as I did with a 36-gallon EcoBoost. My average is around 25 MPG. The transmission can be clunky, but it’s manageable. I did have minor issues like a loose bolt in the headliner and a trailer brake fault, but Ford fixed both quickly.

If the backup beep annoys you, you can code it out with FORSCAN.

Are you sure? Last I heard, you still needed to mess with some hardware. Got a code for it?

According to the F150Gen14 forums, you can override it by adding a resistor cap to the speaker circuit.

@Oak
So it’s not just coding then. Still, FORSCAN is super handy.

Actually, you can just use FORSCAN and unplug the module under the glove box.

I’ve got a 2024 PowerBoost, and I love it. The hybrid system is great for city driving—I end up doing about 40% of my trips on battery. The power is better than my old G35X, too.

I just switched from Chevy to a 2024 PowerBoost. The fuel savings are noticeable—21-23 MPG compared to the 16 MPG I used to get. The bigger gas tank is great, and the generator in the bed is super handy for my work. Honestly, I don’t think I’d go back to anything else.

2024 PowerBoost owner here. I’ve had a few 3.5L EcoBoost trucks before this. While the PowerBoost is decent, I don’t think it’s been a huge upgrade for me. The fuel economy improvement is small, and the gas-to-electric transition feels clunky. If I had to do it over, I’d probably stick with the standard EcoBoost.

I’ve got a 2024 XLT with the blackout and tow packages. I set up my house to connect to the truck’s generator for power outages, which is a cool feature. The truck has plenty of power and feels very comfortable. My only regret is not getting the B&O speaker upgrade—the stock ones aren’t great.

21 Platinum PowerBoost with 75,000 miles. Fuel economy is about 22-24 MPG on the highway with BlueCruise. I’ve towed a lot with it and usually see around 13-14 MPG when towing. The truck’s been reliable overall, except for a dead 12V battery once.

Bought a used 2023 XLT PowerBoost in August. Love it so far. The 7.2kW inverter is great, and I’m averaging around 23-24 MPG. The transmission feels a bit weird at times, and I had a steering lock issue after remote start once, but it hasn’t happened again.
