Do I get a NACS adapter with my new F-150 Lightning?

I just bought an F-150 Lightning Flash last Thursday and was wondering if the NACS adapter should have come with it. Did anyone here get theirs at delivery when buying recently?

Ford used to send them for free, but they stopped. So no, it’s not included anymore. You can use your FordPass points to cover most of the cost if you get one through Ford.

If you go through Ford, be ready to wait a long time—probably a year or more. If you’re spending money anyway, you might want to go with a third-party option. You could have it in a couple of weeks that way.

@Hux
Does that still apply now that Lectron is making them? I got mine early, and it’s the Tesla-made one. It feels a bit bulkier compared to the newer versions.

I ordered mine back in May and still don’t have it, so I’d say yes…

That’s frustrating. I thought things would improve.

It probably has helped somewhat. Ford has shipped about 20,000 units so far but still has a backlog of over 100,000 orders. They’ve been at this for nearly a year. Even if they’re speeding up production, it’ll take a while to catch up.

Nope, not included.

They’ve never included one with the truck at purchase. Earlier, you could order it along with the vehicle and get it after a year or so, but I think they’ve stopped that too. Now, Ford is focusing more on home charging promotions. If you don’t want to wait, adapters are $200–$300 from other brands and ship much faster.

It’s not included, but just a heads-up—Lectron has an early Black Friday sale on their NACS to CCS (Tesla DC supercharger) and NACS to J1772 (Tesla AC destination charger) adapters.

I got my Lightning on Monday and ordered both during the sale.
