I’m thinking about getting a 2022 F150 with the pana roof, which I adore, to replace my older F150. However, my spouse worries about leakage. Does anyone own that roof and are there any problems with it?
The 21 with the roof. No issues. However, I perform the suggested maintenance on my own twice a year. fifteen minutes’ work.
You caught my attention. Could you tell me more about the twice-yearly maintenance you do on your panoramic roof? I’ll oil it and clean the drain openings and surrounding area for dirt.
2016, folks. My leak occurred, I went it to the dealer three times without any luck, and finally, for $100, they cleaned the drain tubes, stopping the leak.
Since the roof on my 2017 was jamming and not closing correctly, I had to get it changed twice under warranty. I now have 130k, and after the previous replacement, I have not experienced any issues or leaks. I have also never opened it again.
The latest F150s have the same roof. Although they are a pleasant aspect, they require upkeep in any case. I lubricate tracks, seals, and drains twice a year in addition to cleaning and inspecting them, as Tone said. Additionally, if you get a Vista roof, use it frequently as inactivity will lead to additional failures. Prior to trying to slide back, always allow the vent to open. As the motor tries to break the seal, this will lessen the strain and wear on the tracks and frame.
It’s the link. Take note that Krytox is advised. a little tube that lasts for seven or eight uses. on Amazon.
