Picked up my XLT SR in Avalanche Grey, and I absolutely love it! Still charging off 120v for now but planning to install a 220v charger soon. I thought Ford would install the charger for free, but the dealership told me it’s $2,000 for them to do it. Honestly, their advertising wasn’t very clear, and I also had to pay an extra $2,000 for the 0% APR offer.
That said, the truck itself is amazing. I really don’t get why more people aren’t buying these. Highly recommend!

I thought the deal was $1,000 bonus cash if you opted out of the Ford Power Pro charger? That’s what my dealership said and what’s on my contract.

Same here. I’ve been told by three dealerships it’s $1,000 if you don’t get the charger. One dealer even said Ford doesn’t offer to install it anymore, and the only option is the $1,000. Frustratingly, that doesn’t even cover the cost of the charger itself. Some dealers also seem to avoid applying the $7,500 tax credit at purchase, which makes the whole process feel shady.

Yeah, that’s been my experience too. Here in Dallas, most dealerships don’t want to deal with the $7,500 point-of-sale rebate. Lazy or just don’t care.

I got $2,000 bonus cash on 11/17/2024. Maybe it varies by dealer?

The dealership told me I’d forfeit a $2,000 rebate if I wanted Ford to install the charger. I swear I saw advertisements saying installation was free. Misleading, to say the least.

Congrats! I have the same color in Flash trim. Check if any local churches near you offer free level 2 charging; it might help until you get your 220v setup.

Not exactly scammed, but they were misleading about the ‘free’ charger installation and the 0% APR.
You should have gotten 0% APR and a free charger install if you wanted. Sounds like the dealership pulled a fast one on you.
