I just got a 2015 Ford Escape. My other car has an eco mode button, but I can’t find one in this car. Is EcoBoost the same thing as eco mode or something different?
EcoBoost is what Ford calls their turbo engines. Some cars have an actual eco mode you can turn on, but your model might not have that feature.
Man, it’s wild how everyone can drive and vote these days.

- I’m just a girl without a father figure. 2. I can’t even vote yet, so… yeah.
EcoBoost is the name of the engine type. My Ford has a mode selector near the gear shifter where I can choose eco, normal, or sport mode. Check around there, maybe yours does too?
EcoBoost is basically Ford’s term for a turbo engine. Drive normally, and it’s kind of like eco mode; push it harder, and the turbo kicks in. It’s not like the eco mode you might find in newer hybrid or electric cars.
For these cars, ‘eco mode’ means using a light foot on the gas. EcoBoost just means it’s got a turbo that kicks in at lower RPMs. It’s not new, but Ford markets it like that.
EcoBoost just means it’s got a turbo. Your car will use it automatically when it’s needed.
