If you have Ford BlueCruise, do you like it and why?

Title says it all. Looking for some feedback from anyone who has used BlueCruise.

We’ve got it on both our F-150 and Mach-E, and I really like it. It’s even better in the Mach-E because it’s the newer version (1.3), which can do lane changes and is smoother in corners. But even on the F-150, it’s great for long drives—I feel less tired after using it.

I’ve got it on my F-150 and use it whenever I’m on the highway. It does a pretty good job of keeping in the lane and maintaining a safe distance from the car ahead.

It’s basically advanced cruise control, but if you look away for more than 5 seconds, it’ll turn off. It’s super useful for long trips, especially if you need to eat or just give your arms a break. Sometimes I feel like Ricky Bobby, not knowing what to do with my hands.

Love it. Had to drive about 1,600 miles over the weekend, and it made the drive way easier and kept me focused. Really worth it in my opinion.

I have it and mostly use it on long drives. It’s great for reducing fatigue. Used it for about 4 hours on a 7-hour trip recently, and it made a big difference.

Love it on my ‘24 F-150 PowerBoost. I use it about 75% of the time when I’m on the highway.

It can be a bit touchy in heavy traffic because it wants to maintain a larger gap than I’d like, so I usually turn it off then. But otherwise, it’s great. Lane changes work well, and it’s pretty smart with reading road lines. I’ve been able to eat a sandwich and enjoy the scenery without worrying too much. As long as you pay some attention, it rarely alerts you.

Just as a comparison, I had Chevy’s version for a while, and I hated it. I’d definitely recommend test-driving it before buying. The Chevy system turned off if you even looked at the radio too long, which made it feel like more effort than just regular cruise control.

@Marley
I can confirm that. I have GM Super Cruise, and honestly, I wouldn’t pay $3.99/month once the free period ends.

It works alright, but I don’t love all the ‘nanny’ features.

Fun fact: if you keep ‘looking away’ long enough (even if you’re just holding up a water bottle), the truck will actually start applying the brakes.

@Lior
Yeah, found that out the hard way in heavy traffic :joy:

I LOVE it. It basically turns your car into a ‘smart’ vehicle by using all the sensors.

I’ve got it, and I’m a huge fan. It’s why I chose my current daily driver. After trying it on a Mach-E, I ended up trading in my old Expedition for a new one with BlueCruise.

The newer version on my latest Mach-E can do lane changes, which is cool, but not my favorite feature. I was also happy when the subscription price dropped, and I’d definitely pay to keep using it after the trial period ends. I’d even add it to my next Expedition once they offer a hybrid version or something else that makes me want to upgrade.

@Vail
BlueCruise on my first Mach-E convinced me to go for the Platinum trim on my Expedition since that was the only way to get it for the 2022 model year. Now that my newer Mach-E can do lane changes, I hope the Expedition gets the same update soon.
