We have a long history of successful trade and manufacturing benefiting many industries.
It’s surprising how quickly some of our friends to the south seem to view Canadians as enemies.

Many of us are on the Canadian side. The folks promoting this MAGA nonsense seem to be making things worse with other countries.
It’s odd that they forget Canada’s support during hard times.
@Merritt
Canadians won’t buy American-owned cars anytime soon. It’ll be tricky since the auto industry is so connected between Canada, the US, and Mexico. This could get messy.

You might not believe the media, but many Canadians have always helped out where needed.
Some amazing entertainment talent is Canadian, and I really learned a lot from them on YouTube. Love you guys.
@Kade
Thanks - we appreciate our American friends but… with the US government tearing up trade agreements and making threats, the joke isn’t funny for us anymore.
This issue is a hot topic in our news and forums.
@Zinn
We worry about this too, especially the ones who aren’t toxic.
You still have friends down here
@Zinn
Who really cares?
Did you catch the football game?
No?
Alright, back to work.

I haven’t heard anything like that. We’re still friends regardless of some comments.
@Ira
Thanks for that - but the comments from the orange guy are concerning.
People are genuinely worried.

I’m just here shaking my head. These comments are at times cutting, even at the expense of so-called friends. I’m baffled that he’s in charge.
@Ira
I was in Mexico and some Coast Guard folks were joking about invading Canada. I really wish I had recorded that.

That’s really troubling. The idea of an American invasion is unsettling. It’s been a big topic in our news lately…

Could Canada ever become the first EU member that’s not in Europe?

As an American, I’ve always admired Canada. People voted for a dictator, but I hope things normalize soon.
I’m glad I got my truck already.
I foresee prices rising significantly in the next few years.
Before Reagan, North America set up the Autopact agreement. It helped distribute parts between Canada and the US. It was meant to create jobs and a larger market for products.
The shift to Reaganomics and NAFTA changed that.
Now, many products cross the border multiple times during production. A seat might be made in one place, upholstered in another, then fitted in a third, and sent just in time for assembly. It’s all very interconnected.
But now we’re facing a clash of corporate cultures, where making profits is key. Changing that will take a lot of time and money. We need investors willing to take the risk of bringing jobs back to the US while following all sorts of rules.
I bet the wealthy and their supporters voted for this guy. Most auto workers probably did too.

That username just doesn’t seem fitting.

These CEOs and board members supported this guy for the tax breaks. I hope they struggle. They were saved by Obama while Bone Spurs wanted them to go down.
