Is the 2025 Maverick still affordable?

So I was checking out the prices of the 2025 Maverick…and honestly, it’s not looking so cheap anymore.

Yeah, it used to be known as the affordable truck. Seems like those days are gone now.

Totally agree. Every time there’s a ‘good deal,’ it just gets more expensive until it’s not a deal anymore. Glad I grabbed mine early.

@Avery
Same here. I knew prices were gonna hike, so I locked mine in last year before it got too crazy.

The whole appeal was that it was cheap and got good mileage. Now it’s like $30k for a base model. That’s wild.

@SherryJune2
Exactly! It’s almost as pricey as mid-size trucks now, but you’re paying extra for fuel efficiency and less truck.

Yeah, the low price was everything. Now you can pay the same for a bigger truck or this ‘mini’ one that just saves a bit on gas. Not sure it’s worth it anymore.

@SherryJune2
All thanks to people paying dealer markups for years. Now we’re stuck with these prices.

I don’t get it. People just couldn’t wait, I guess. I ordered mine and yeah, it took over a year to arrive, but it was worth it. Patience, people!

@SherryJune2
You waited, others paid extra. It’s the same thing. Just shows the truck was probably underpriced at the start. Market adjusts, and here we are.

With the auto market cooling down, I bet these trucks will start sitting on lots again. Discounts might come back once demand drops a bit.

@Hale
Yeah, I’ve been thinking the same. As demand slows, dealers will have to adjust.

It’s crazy how much people are willing to pay just to avoid a wait. Doesn’t make sense to me.

@SherryJune2
I’ve seen the same thing with other cars too. It’s like no one wants to wait anymore.

Exactly what I was thinking. That sub-$20k starting price was so good while it lasted.

Two years ago, I got my XLT Hybrid for just under $30k, fully loaded. Now the base price is even higher than that!

@Blair
Same here. Got mine for $26k with a bunch of options. Now it’s over $5k more for the same setup.

I was hoping the prices would drop, but nope. Used ones are almost as expensive as new. I’m out.

@Zen
Same here. The lowest markup I saw was $6k. It’s probably better now, but I already gave up.

Maybe try looking outside your local area. You might find better deals.
