A couple weeks ago I bought a new 2024 f150 STX. It’s a nice upgrade from my 2017 fx4 XL.
my old one had about 200k, same engine, excellent truck.
The new one feels like a spaceship compared to the old one.
Im missing the 4WD a little bit ngl. im not on jobsites off-road in this truck like my last one, so I decided to save a little bit there.
I’ve been making some personal touches to it getting it where I like it. Got some nice seat covers to protect the fabric and threw a tonneau cover on the back.
The '24 models must be nice because my '23 work truck is a huge downgrade from my '17 personal truck. My advice would be to ignore everyone else and just enjoy driving your truck. If something feels off or strange, consider upgrading that.
@Harlyn
My '17 was an XL with a half back seat, so it didn’t have anything fancy—just some backup sensors. This one feels luxurious compared to my last one! The infotainment center, cameras, and Apple CarPlay have all been fun to play with.
There are a few companies that make storage cubbies for under the rear seats. When I traded my '17 for my '24, I just slid it over. It’s the best quality-of-life modification I’ve made.

That’s a great idea! Do you have any recommendations?
