Never been so happy I dumped my Model 3 for this beauty

It’s a fantastic change and I couldn’t be happier with my decision.

Just got back from offloading my Model Y for a gray Lariat

So far so good, my only concern is road tripping taking a little longer.

@Larkin
Let me know when you take one, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Using the Tesla Superchargers is slick in this thing. This thing is a charge beast in the sweet spot of the battery. My stops are usually only 15 minutes or so. It’ll hold a solid 160kw pretty high up in the charge curve.

@Denver
How many miles are you adding in 15 minutes?

Usually about 75-80 miles. If I charge for like 25 mins, I can get about 70% back in the battery. Although I’m in south Florida, so I don’t really deal with temperature variations. I have no idea how temperature changes affect range or charging on this truck.

@Denver
Are you at 35-40% when you start? For me to go from 10-15% to 80% is 30-35 minutes.

No, I usually try to arrive at chargers around 10-15%. I feel like I don’t charge longer than 30 minutes. Although I rarely use superchargers, and almost never adding more than 40% at a time.

@Denver
The issue is that that’s still putting cash in Leon’s pocket.

@Larkin
A little is an understatement. But love the truck.

@Larkin
Tesla Supercharging is a true game changer. Did a 2000 mile trip, with supercharging you really can just drive until bio/kids/food calls. Turn off and take a quick charge and usually not have to wait or worry about access! 15-20 min later back on the road!

I have a 2022 Lightning Lariat ER and just sold my Model 3 and replaced it with a Lucid Air Pure. You won’t be disappointed with the Lightning. We’ve taken it on a 9,000-mile trip across the country and back with an OVRLND camper attached, and having the Tesla SuperCharger network available was a lifesaver. The Lucid is as efficient or more than the Model 3 and is so much more comfortable. The Lightning is amazing for travel and recreation; we can fit two bikes in the back seat area when it’s folded, and our black lab has claimed the back seat as hers when the bikes are out. We are so happy with the Lightning and I sometimes have trouble getting to drive it because my wife has claimed it as hers.

Is that Antimatter Blue?

It’s Azure Gray, the iPhone filter makes it look darker than it is in person.

It looks nice in that light. Also, those umbrellas are cracking me up.

@Marlow
Right? Leave it to the city to block the tiny bit of sunlight that makes it through during the day lol.

I was about to buy a Model 3 or Y and then he went off the rails. He’s nuts. I bought a Lightning Lariat. Love it!

Congratulations! What color did you get? Yeah, he’s unhinged lately. Unacceptable.
