New Lariat… need range advice or opinion?

I got a new Lariat last week. I’m going to a football game tomorrow morning, and most of the trip will be on backroads with no access to chargers. Can I make it there on 100% charge? (Estimated range 315 miles)

  • The destination is about 115 miles away. I might drive an extra 10 miles after arriving.
  • Average speed will be around 60-65 mph.
  • The truck will be parked for 9-11 hours.
  • Temps will be 37°F - 50°F.
  • Tire pressure is 40 psi.

I could probably trickle charge. Maybe take a generator?

You might as well find an outlet at your destination.

Keep your efficiency above 1.8 and you should be fine (1.8 x 131 = 235 miles from 100% to 0%). Slow down if you have to, turn off the HVAC if needed.

Check Plugshare to see if there are parking garages where you can leave the truck to charge for the 9 hours. You could Uber to the game.

It’s doable as long as you keep these things in mind.
