Jinxed myself, have been raving how great the lightning has been. Got in the car this morning and of course the dreaded service soon sign
Been doing the same thing. Hyping the truck to the moon on here and IRL. This Tuesday I got that dreaded warning and now the dealership is dropping the battery pack for further diagnosis.

It really is a great truck, I’ve had it for 3 months and put over 7k on it with no issues until now
@Nyle
Absolutely, I love it as well. I have a Rivian R1T as well and I still choose this each day to drive. Only at 3k miles since November but I’ve been out of the country for 5 weeks.

Did it actually have a loss of power? Mine I just had to put down the shifter, turn off the car, and let it adjust back.
@Finley
It was being stored/charged and driven 3-4 times a week at my Brother-In-Law’s house while I’m out of the country. He saw the error and called me before driving it. I told him to take a spin around the block and it said something like 57% power available and a super low range estimate, so he parked it back at his house and Ford came and got it a couple hours later.
@Jaime
Gotcha. Sounds like the module is actually the issue unless it’s been outside in the cold without being preconditioned (going off the battery loss)
@Jaime
Mine says 57% power as well
Could be your shifter or the charge of your 12v battery. Those are the common two that’ll come and go as far as alerts. I hope it’s simple for you.

Yeah probably one of those, anyone have repeat of same issue?
@Nyle
I’ve had my ICE Powerboost 2022 give me the same exact alert for low charge on my 12v battery. As well as others here with their Lightning have mentioned that getting the alert, folding the shifter down, and then back up, it went away. Something with the shift sensor gives the alert.
@Reese
I’ll give that a try and report back
Bummer

I have a 24 Lariat on the way so this concerns me, is it still drivable?
It’s a great truck, I’m sure they will fix it. I’ve had multiple brand new cars the last 5 years and all have had an issue requiring service
Sorry to be ignorant. Is it still drivable?

57% power, going to try and drive it to the dealer instead of a tow
