ShudderFixx helped a bit... Now what should I do?

I added ShudderFixx to my transmission, and it seemed to reduce the shudder almost completely. It’s still barely there, and I’m not sure if it’s just in my head or not. I’ve got 3,000 miles left on my warranty, and I’m thinking about taking it to a shop to get everything checked out before it expires.

I called a shop today and explained what happened after using the new plugs and ShudderFixx. The mechanic seems sure that I need a new transmission (I’ve got 88,000 miles on the truck). Should I get it checked anyway? I don’t want him to just assume it’s a transmission issue if it could be something simpler like a pan drop with a new filter and fluid.

What would you all do? (2017 10R80 3.5)

I had to get a new transmission. Ford replaced mine under warranty at 73,000 miles. It’s been running great ever since.

Same truck at 81,000 miles, and my transmission is done for. It works fine until it warms up, then it starts to have issues. At some point, I’ll just leave it parked with the keys in the ignition and hope it cools down before someone steals it, then I’ll call my insurance.

@Ty
I’ve got an appointment at the shop this Friday, so hopefully, they find something that will help!

@Qi
I’m heading to the shop this Friday for a diagnosis. The odd thing is, the transmission shifts great most of the time, but sometimes there’s this weird random miss-shift or something like that.

I hope your dealership is decent! I would’ve waited to put ShudderFixx in until after the dealer had a chance to feel the issue.

Honestly, the ShudderFixx worked for a couple of days, but now I can feel the issue again.
