Just got the latest frunk update but I can’t tell if anything is different yet. Anyone else notice changes?
Does this stop that horrible beep when I’m trying not to wake up the baby?

Exactly, or when you’re out camping and just want to grab something quick… Ford, are you listening? Give us a way to turn that beep off!
@Zane
It’s crazy that the frunk opens with such a loud beep. Who thought that was a good idea?

The slowest, quietest punch ever.

What if you’re sitting on the hood and someone opens it?

Sit on my hood, and the beep will be the last thing you hear before I push you off!

You can always unplug the speaker in the front grille. No more beep.

Got a video or some pics on how to do this?

Now I’m tempted to try it. Always hated the beep, and I’m curious what’s under the hood.

I wouldn’t recommend it. A lot of us found it causes errors, and some features may stop working. It’s better to muffle it than unplug it entirely.
@Ren
I unplugged mine, no issues. So much quieter now.

No error codes at all? Did you add a resistor to the circuit?

You don’t need a resistor for the frunk beeper, but for the reverse beeper you do. There’s even a plug you can buy for it.
@Zeke
On my truck, it definitely throws an error code. Others on the forum have had the same issue, and someone’s working on a fix for it. He’s testing a new part soon.

Weird. Mine’s been fine for over a year.
@Zeke
I only started getting the error after a software update. I ended up reattaching the speaker but muffled it to keep it quiet.

I messaged that guy about helping him test it. I live nearby and offered my truck for his testing.
@Zeke
Or just use Forscan to turn off the backup beep entirely.
