Bought my ‘24 Lariat Lightning in early December 2024. With the holidays, I didn’t approve the Qmerit quote until 1/3/25. Finally got a response from the installer on 1/27—they said they were waiting on a permit since my 200A panel is close to max. Fair enough.
Fast forward to 2/17, I get an email saying the permit was approved and they’re ready to schedule. Gave them some available dates… and then nothing. Here I am on 3/10, completely ghosted. No response to my follow-ups.
Is this kind of delay and lack of communication normal with these installers? Any way to escalate with Qmerit or Ford?
Can’t speak to your situation exactly, but city permitting can be a nightmare. When we got solar, the city held us up for nearly a year. Best advice is to keep following up as much as you can.
Dealer gave me the runaround on who was supposed to contact who—Qmerit, the dealer, or me. After all that wasted time, I just bought my own 48-amp charger on Amazon and mounted it myself. Didn’t pay for the Ford charger anyway, so nothing lost except my patience.
Same boat here. Bought my truck at the end of October 2024, and Qmerit has completely dropped the ball. Still no install date. I’m in MA, and only one company has even sent a bid for a basic install. I approved the bid on 3/10/25, but no date yet. Oh, and my dealership still hasn’t given me the Ford charger.
