Thinking about a '24 PowerBoost

I have a '21 PowerBoost, and my wife just got a '24. The '24 has some nice upgrades like BlueCruise and better camera functionality. My '21 only had a minor issue with the third brake light leaking, but no problems with the '24 so far.

I’ve got a '24 Lariat with 5,000 miles. No major complaints, but BlueCruise can be annoying—it keeps slamming on the brakes on the highway. Also, the real-world mpg isn’t as good as advertised; I’m averaging 19.

I have a '23, and yes, it’s a safe and solid truck.

Just picked up my '24 XLT PowerBoost two days ago. It’s amazing so far! Obviously, I don’t know about the long-term yet, but I’m impressed. If inventory stays high, you might score a good deal closer to the end of the year.

Got a '24 PowerBoost after coming from a 2018 2.7. I’m only at 10,000 miles, but I’d definitely buy it again.

I’m at 1,300 miles on my '24 XLT with the 7.2kW generator. It’s been fantastic! Already used it for towing, and there’s more than enough power.

Love my '24 Lariat PowerBoost. I had a '21 that got totaled, and while the '24 has fewer options, it’s getting better fuel economy. Would recommend either one.

Great truck overall, but avoid the heavy tow package. The 3/4-float axles introduced in '22 are problematic—I’m on my third rear axle replacement. Also, not a fan of the 10-speed transmission, but it’s the same one GM uses, so switching brands wouldn’t help.

I have a '22 PowerBoost and love it. Regret not getting the 7.2kW generator, though.

Apparently, the Florida DMV website is down for dealer registrations! :man_shrugging::person_facepalming:

I switched from a 2017 Tacoma to a 2024 PowerBoost and have zero regrets. Did a lot of research and test drove the competition—this truck is fantastic, especially with the built-in generator.

Got mine 40 days ago, and I’m loving it. Go for it!

I have a '23 XLT PowerBoost with all the options, 21k miles now. The powertrain is fantastic and it tows great. The ride is better than the Silverado but not as good as the Ram 1500. Interior quality is decent but could be better. My truck has had some build quality issues, though—lots of rattles and ill-fitting doors. The loaners I’ve had while the dealership worked on it were excellent, though. Definitely take a long test drive before buying.

Highly recommend the PowerBoost. I’m getting 24-26mpg overall and around 21mpg with towing. Plenty of power when you need it, and the onboard generator is awesome. Used it while camping in the Rockies.

Got mine three weeks ago. The only downside is that I can’t do a proper shoulder check on the driver’s side due to the design, but other than that, I love it.

The fuel economy numbers are spot on for a change. I’m getting the advertised 23mpg combined. I towed a 5,000lb trailer to the Black Hills recently and averaged 10-11mpg, but the power was more than enough. Definitely lives up to the ‘PowerBoost’ name.

I’m at 900 miles on my '24 PowerBoost. It’s been fantastic so far, and the brake coach is fun for learning to hyper-mile. Definitely recommend it.

24 Lariat PB owner here. I’m completely in love with my truck. The only advice I can give is that the PowerBoost is best for what it’s designed to do: increase power. Fuel efficiency doesn’t improve much unless you drive very specific routes in a very specific way. I’ve gotten as high as 27.2 MPG on some drives, but as low as 16.5 on others. That said, the power is amazing and very responsive. I wouldn’t change my decision and couldn’t be happier!

45k miles on my '22 PowerBoost Lariat. Had some issues with the catalytic converters early on, but once they were replaced, the truck has been running great.
