Thinking about upgrading my truck… any advice?

Did they bring them back? They were gone in 2022.

They added them back in 2024. Only the 2023 models had them removed.

Isn’t the main difference between the Platinum and Lariat just the lay-flat seats, massaging seats, bigger rims, and some leather upgrades?

The sound system is better too. I’m okay with the Lariat’s system though. I’ve heard worse.

@Dallas
I was disappointed in it. I had a 2021 XLT before my Lightning Lariat, and the sound quality was noticeably worse.

Reading the title, I thought, “Oh no, another person who didn’t research their EV…” Glad to see you’re happy with your truck. I love mine too!

Why are you so set on the Platinum? I felt the same at first, but after comparing, I couldn’t justify spending $10k CAD more for slightly better leather, a sound system upgrade, and worse wheels that kill your range. I ended up with the Lariat, and I’m glad I did.

@Valen
The leather seats on my Platinum are terrible. They’ve been in for repairs multiple times because the color keeps bleeding. Two years with this truck, and it’s been in the shop more than it should’ve been.

@Valen
I got my Platinum for $100k CAD with two deletes, but at least I got the massaging seats and smart scale.

My brother actually owns two of these trucks. He loves them.

My Platinum is great, but it’s basically a slightly upgraded Lariat. No smart scale or massaging seats, but I did get a heated steering wheel. Either way, I’ve had mine for almost two years, and I still love it.

Honestly, the Platinum isn’t worth it. Maybe the radio is slightly better, but other than that, it’s overpriced. And I say this as someone who owns one.

We were set on getting an XLT but ended up test-driving a Lariat with a moonroof. My wife and I were sold instantly, haha. We love it, though it’s a bit too big for our garage. I can’t justify a Platinum either, but those massaging seats might’ve been nice for long trips!
