This was my first experience with magic dock… I really wish all superchargers had this feature. When I go on road trips, I’m always worried about forgetting my adapter and being stuck in a long line at the charging station while my family gives me those annoyed looks.
Does anyone have a good link for a reliable adapter? I can look it up myself but I just got my truck and don’t want to end up with a bad one.

You could go for A2Z Typhoon, Lectron Vortex, or the official Ford adapter from Lectron. I’ve had the A2Z adapter and it has worked well for me on several occasions.
@Keller
I wouldn’t recommend the Ford version. It’s going to take forever to get one, while you could have the others in just a few days.

What do you mean ‘forever’? More like 10 months, at most.
@Jordan
Well, if we’re counting, 10 months from now would be…

December!
So basically almost the next year! If waiting almost a year for an adapter is fine with you, go ahead… but why not get it sooner from another brand?
@Keller
I have the Lectron adapter, and it works perfectly.
@Keller
Thanks so much!

This will give you both adapters you might need. Tesla to CCS1 and Tesla to J1772. One is for super chargers, the latter for destination chargers.

I have an A2Z adapter that I’m willing to sell for $165 with shipping. It’s still brand new in the box.
Do you need an app for this? Can all Teslas use it?

You can only use V3/V4 superchargers. You also need the Tesla app to charge.

You don’t need the Tesla app unless you are doing membership. You can charge using the Ford App as well, that’s an option.
@Reagan
Where do you find Tesla charging in the Ford app? Is it part of the BlueOval network?

@Reagan
Sorry, I could only upload one picture per comment. I’ve always used the Ford app to charge, except for when I used local Florida FPL chargers that need their own app. If you’re in Florida, I highly recommend the FPL stations—they’re all 250-350kw and only .30 per kwh, with no subscription needed.
