2024 Lightning Flash…do the mirrors fold in automatically?

Hi all, sorry if this has been asked before. I’m thinking about getting a 2024 Lightning Flash from my local dealer. I’ve got a smaller garage, so I’ll probably need to fold the mirrors to make it fit.

Before I reach out to the dealer, does anyone know if the Flash edition has power folding mirrors that I can activate from inside the cabin? Or is that feature only available on certain trim levels, and if so, which ones?

No, the Flash doesn’t have them. You’d have to go up to the Lariat trim for power folding mirrors.

I have the same issue with my truck. I have to roll down my window and pull in the driver’s side mirror every time I go into the garage. It’s getting a bit annoying, so I’ve been looking into options for adding power mirrors. I’ve seen some trailer mirrors that are power folding, but I’m worried they might look too bulky and might not fit in my garage even when folded.

@Lex
At least it’s on the driver’s side for you! When I’m alone, I have to reach over and roll down the passenger side window to fold that mirror in. If the truck wasn’t so awesome, I’d be pretty frustrated.

@Landry
That’s rough, man!

Yeah, but honestly, I knew what I was getting. If it was a major issue, I would’ve gone for the Lariat instead of the Flash.

I get that. I wanted the Oxford white color, and there wasn’t one near me in a Lariat, plus the price difference had me thinking twice.

If you’re up for it, there are aftermarket options out there.

Is it possible to install the Lariat mirrors on an XLT or Flash model? I know they’re pricey, but is the wiring already there to support it?

I’ve got a ‘23 XLT, and I’d really like folding mirrors too.

@Jin
I have a ‘22 XLT, and I’m interested too! I haven’t fully looked into it, but this person managed it. There’s also some helpful discussion here.

@Jin
Yes, I’m actually doing this on my ‘23 XLT. The mirrors are around $500-700 each on eBay. You’ll need a harness (boostedgreygoosedesigns sells it), and you’ll also need to set certain fields in the ECU using FORScan. Plus, you’ll need to replace the door button panel.

@Ari
Do you happen to know the part numbers for the mirrors?
