It’s a 6th gen, 73-79.

Haha, I was literally about to say the same thing!

Great minds think alike! I had a ‘71 F100, 360 2WD… still regret selling it.
@Kai
Same here with my ‘53 F100. Tried to rebuild it, but life got in the way.
Looks like a 78-79 model.

Yep, I was thinking the same thing because of the square headlights.

My scoutmaster had a ‘78 that looked just like this.
Those square headlights say ‘79 to me.

78 models had square headlight options too. My dad’s ‘78 F250 XLT Ranger had them.

Yep, I think only the Ranger trim had square lights in 78, but I could be wrong.
Not sure on the year, but I’d love to have it!
Best generation, hands down! That’s the classic Dentside Ford (73-79). Yours is likely a 78 or 79.
Check the driver’s side door frame. There should be a silver plate with the year on it.
Definitely one of the best generations!
The square headlights give it away—only ‘78 and ‘79 models had those.
Grandpa’s truck? Wow, I’m feeling old! I graduated in ‘77 when that truck was brand new!
Looks like a 6th gen based on the front end. For exact details, the best bet is to check the VIN. Ford’s VIN lookup tool can give you specifics like the manufacturing plant and original engine: Ford VIN lookup. Hope this helps!
