Ford Performance Supercharger Installed!

Listen bro, you’ve got a single cab, short bed, whipped 5.0. Alright? You’ve won. Everyone is jealous.

Man, if it wasn’t for having a wife and a giant dog, I’d have gone for the single cab with the 6.6 bed. Instead, I have a supercrew with a 6.6. The thing is the size of a frigate—22 feet long!

@Joss
I traded a Ram Rebel Crew for this. Gotta say, I love the shorter wheelbase—I can park it with ease.

@Joss
The turning radius. Don’t forget that.

I just installed a ported truck intake on my RCSB. Next up: a Beefcake Racing aluminum driveshaft and long tubes. I can’t imagine what your beast is like at 600+ HP.

Just skip all that and slap the Whipple on.

@Jem
Hahahaha!

I foresee some speeding tickets in your future.

Careful with the stock driveshaft—my coworker put the same blower on his 2WD, and it broke off at the rear yoke at 100 mph. Lol.

Lucky for me, my father is actually a driveline mechanic. :wink:

Perfect truck!

Looks killer!!! Do you know the approximate install time for the blower? I plan on doing a Whipple on mine this spring. Just had the stereo done and probably going to do LT headers as well. Please keep us in the loop on how this works out for you. That’s the main reason I bought my '24 with a 5.0 and 10-speed trans.

@Shay
My dealer had all the hardware installed in one day. Then they took another half-day to program the ECU and do some testing.

In the paperwork, it specifically called out LT headers as a no-no. It says they could damage the engine. I know folks are running Whipples with headers, so I don’t know what to make of that.

Buy a nice radar detector.

Let ‘er rip!

How many lbs of boost? Wideband O2 and boost gauge installed? How do you like driving it? I’m next and will be adding one eventually. I had a 2.3 Whipple on my last truck, and it was a dream to drive daily—only a monster when I wanted it to be.

@Bailey
No such additions just yet. It’s just the vanilla Ford Performance Whipple kit with nothing extra.

I’m a chrome guy and don’t like the blacked-out look, but damn, this is a sharp rig!!! Well done. I’d love to drive it as is. :heart:

I’ve always been anti-chrome, but I don’t mind the chrome bumpers on this truck. It’s actually Antimatter Blue, so in the light, the black wheels contrast a bit. I’m on the fence about blacking out the bumpers—I’ve got the paint but haven’t done it yet.
