What exactly was happening? I’ve got the same truck, and on cold mornings I hear a dragging sound from the front. Almost like something’s caught under it. Ford forums are pointing me toward the IWE.

Mine wasn’t on cold starts. It was a rumbling noise at high speeds. They replaced the actuators twice and eventually the front axle.
I just bought a 2024 STX, and it’s making a rumbling noise around 50-60 mph. Haven’t taken it in yet, but I’m guessing it might be the same issue.

Same here with a 2025 PowerBoost. It happens at 55-65 mph, uphill, under light acceleration, and when it’s below freezing outside. Feels like driving over a rumble strip.
@Abi
Yep, that sounds about right. Bring it in and start a claim.
I’d get rid of it. You’ll never feel the same about that truck again.
Take the money. Sell the truck. Buy a new one. Be happy. (Just don’t think about the time this will take.)
I went through a buyback with my 2023 F-150 for water leaking into the cab. The dealer couldn’t fix it after three tries and several months. They offered me around $3,000 to keep the truck, but I ended up doing a substitution of collateral.
Why would they buy it back if it’s fixed? If it was a true lemon, they’d give you a new one. If it’s fixed, they’ll just say, ‘Have a nice day.’

Because in NJ, the lemon laws apply if the vehicle has been in the shop for over 30 days or had three failed repair attempts.
@Wynn
You should definitely take advantage of the lemon law and see if they’ll replace it with an equal-value truck.
@Wynn
That’s wild. Take the money and move on to something else.
