On the X-Plan page, it mentions that you need to have been a member of the Mustang Club for over 60 days to get the discount. Has anyone else run into problems with this rule?
It’s 90 days, not 60. The dealership usually takes a copy of your card.
It depends on the dealer. Some check, others don’t care.
I gave my dealer my X-Plan PIN when I went to pick up my Lightning, and they also wanted my EAA membership card to show I had been a member for more than 90 days. I asked them to show me the X-Plan document saying they needed the card, and they did.

What happened after that?

I ended up paying $2.5k more. They were my 4th dealership, so I was just over it.

Did you just show them the printed card? We talked about this in another thread, but I’m curious if that’s the only thing they check once they get the ‘documentation needed’ alert.
@Luca
I’m curious too. I’m about to go through this process, but my EAA card doesn’t show the date I joined.

I logged into https://www.eaa.org/eaa, then went to MY ACCOUNT (at the top right) → My name under ‘Download Membership Card’. The card showed ‘MEMBER SINCE’ and ‘VALID UNTIL’ dates. That’s when they told me about needing to be a member for at least 90 days. Some people here have said they didn’t have to do this at their dealership.
@Zee
My card just shows the expiration date. Seems inconsistent for some people. I printed it out because I figured it might help. Thanks for sharing! This is useful info.

Here’s a screenshot of what my membership card looks like:
@Zee
Yeah, same card, but I don’t have the ‘member since’ date on mine or the circle. Pretty interesting. I’m curious how they verify that, or if it’s just a visual check.
@Luca
I showed them my online membership card that showed the date I became a member. That’s when they pointed out I had to be a member for at least 90 days to qualify for the X-Plan. Other people here have said some dealerships don’t check, but I guess I was just unlucky.
@Zee
What did the form ask the dealership to do? Just verify your membership? Or did they need to list the date you joined?
How do you get onto the X-Plan?

Cancel it if they let you and use your Sam’s Club or BJ’s Club membership.
@Taron
I only have Costco. Does that work?
