I am wondering how to turn on the ambient lighting in my car. The instructions say to go to display settings, then vehicle, then ambient lighting to adjust brightness, but that does not work for me. Is there another way to control it? Maybe by turning on the interior lights? I need to do this at night. It seems like Ford might have forgotten to install the ambient lighting, even though the window sticker says it has one color of ambient lighting.
I am eagerly awaiting the delivery of my 2024 Lariat, and I’m curious about the ambient lighting features. My 2016 Lariat allowed for color changes via the Sync screen. Does the 2024 model have similar capabilities?
One of the features I love about my 2015 KR and 2013 Mustang GT is being able to customize the ambient lighting colors. It doesn’t take much to keep me entertained.
Ambient lighting is typically not visible during daylight or when interior lights are on. For it to be noticeable, your headlights must be on and the vehicle interior should be sufficiently dark, as the lighting is intentionally subtle.
It is highly unlikely that your window sticker is incorrect. In my experience with a different model year, ambient lighting defaults to off after a system reset or battery disconnect. You might need to access the Sync vehicle settings to turn it back on and adjust brightness. If you’re still having trouble, consider visiting the dealer, as there could be a physical issue with the circuit.
Pick from a range of colors to create the right mood for your interior and also one can choose a pre-set theme that blends color and brightness settings to create a specific ambiance.
