Hey everyone, I’m looking to set up my truck like the one in this screenshot. I’m not very knowledgeable about lifts or tires, so I could use some advice. I’m not sure if the truck in the screenshot has a bit of squat, but if it does, I’d prefer to avoid that. I’m looking for a setup that’s aggressive but still has a bit of a “bubba truck” feel. Can anyone suggest a lift, tires, and possibly spacers?
I get wanting that aggressive look, but unless you’ve got the money to handle the extra wear and tear, it’s not really worth it. These trucks can have issues with handling, wear out parts faster, and burn more fuel. Plus, the cost of bigger tires adds up. You might look cool, but you’ll end up damaging your truck over time. Trucks are an investment, and it’s better to keep them going strong. Stick to a more subtle look if you want longevity and style.

I mean bigger tires than stock, but nothing so big you need a lift. It keeps the truck mostly stock while still giving it a tougher vibe.
@Ashwin
That’s what I did. I’m running 33-inch tires with no lift or level kit.

That’s definitely the way to go. Also, leveling the truck isn’t a great idea if you ever haul anything heavy in the bed.
@Charlie
I disagree. The truck can still do its job but with more clearance and bigger tires.

Truck engineers design these things to handle their payloads and towing with reliability. Do you really think adding a leveling kit or lift doesn’t mess with that?

A level and some MT tires on 16-inch wheels should do it.

Nah, go with all-terrain tires instead. MTs wear out too fast.
@Lior
MTs aren’t really the problem. If you maintain your truck—proper alignment, tire rotation, and pressure—you can get good mileage out of them.

Sure, but if you mostly drive on pavement, MTs wear out a lot quicker.
@Lior
Actually, pavement is the least abrasive surface for tires. Dirt and gravel wear them out faster. It’s more about how well you maintain them.

You should call a tire shop and ask. MT tires on pavement will wear out fast because the knobs on them break down quickly.

16-inch wheels won’t fit over the rotors unless your truck’s super old.

I wouldn’t level it though.

Why not?
