I’ve only hit 24 MPG or higher a handful of times in the last two years. Anyone else?
This truck is super sensitive to weather. In the spring, summer, and fall, I get 24-28 MPG with mixed driving. In the winter, it drops to 20-22.

Same here. I’m not complaining, though—I enjoy the good MPG when I get it, which is most of the time as long as I drive more than 10 miles. Plus, the onboard power supply is a lifesaver for my job.

Yeah, if you’re in an area that switches to winter gas with additives, this is pretty normal.
Here in Canada, my MPG drops from 10.5L/100km to around 12L/100km in the winter.

So it’s not just me? We’ve been below 20°F, and my MPG has been in the 16-17 range. I only have 3,500 miles on my truck, but in warmer weather, I was getting low 20s.
@Noor
It actually improves over time (weirdly). Mine is a 2021 with just over 40k miles now.
We regularly get 24 MPG with ours—better than my Subaru Ascent!

Same! We have a Hyundai Palisade, and our PowerBoost consistently gets better MPG no matter the season or trip length.
I really wish there was a way to leave the truck in Eco mode permanently. It’s annoying how it resets every time you restart unless you catch the dashboard prompt.

I’ve never gotten better gas mileage in town.
@Rory
That’s odd. Try turning on EV Coach for a bit—it helps you adjust your driving style to get the most out of it.
@Rory
It works great in stop-and-go traffic. I get 25-30 MPG in LA traffic, but for short trips around town, I see 17-22 MPG. No complaints, though.

My overall MPG meter (haven’t reset it since buying the truck) stays between 22-24. Higher in the summer, lower in winter with the CA gas blend.
One thing I’ve noticed—it does poorly cruising at 30-50 MPH but does much better in the 60-70 MPH range.
@Rory
I think the electric motor should be stronger so it could accelerate normally without kicking on the gas engine. Not sure if it’s a space or battery limitation.
@Rory
I have a ‘21 PowerBoost, and the battery has never felt like it does much.

Mostly just shows energy returned from braking, nothing crazy.
MPG depends on so many factors—rim size, tire size, tire type, weight, load, rolling resistance, and even fuel type.
On stock Hankook tires and ethanol-free gas, I got 23-24 MPG with 20” rims. Then I swapped to Mickey Thompson Baja Boss tires (same size/load rating), and now I get 19-21 MPG.
@Tobin
I’m completely stock. Also… I’m old.
What trim? My Platinum is way heavier than lower trims. I might see 22-23 MPG on a good day, but my average is more like 17-18.
@Sky
Platinum with the towing package. I thought the MPG estimate on the window sticker was specific to my truck’s configuration.
