Congrats! I’m sure you’ll love it. I’d honestly never switch back now.

Is there anything, other than the supercharging network, that you miss about the Tesla? I’m 99% sold on the Lightning but just curious about your thoughts being a former Model 3 owner too.
@Alden
I’ve been in the Ford a few months from a Model 3, and my wife still has a Y. I miss the user interface in general, honestly. I’m not a fan of CarPlay and routing options aren’t great. The size and functionality of the truck is fantastic, but the electronics, screens, and assist features are behind where Tesla is at. Supercharging being easy compared to using different charge providers is definitely a step back as well. I’m glad we were able to keep one of each in the family. Both have their benefits depending on the situation.
@Alden
I did the same but actually kept my Model 3. Obviously, the Model 3 is much more energy efficient. It’s like comparing a gas 150 to a 4-cylinder Civic. The Model 3 is paid off and its resale value is really low. I paid for full FSD when it launched, so I take that on long trips since it’s cheaper per mile. Everyone prefers to use the truck when the family is along.
@Alden
Nothing, honestly. Fords can now use the supercharger network, so I still have access to it. When I heard that was coming, I decided to make the switch. Tesla tech is nice, but Apple CarPlay helps a lot with that loss.
I just did the same thing on Tuesday. Traded my Model Y for an Antimatter Blue Lariat. Couldn’t be happier.

Congratulations! Antimatter is such a beautiful color.

Thanks! I got lucky; it was the only Lariat at my local dealer and it was priced to move. Scored some solid discounts and an extra grand off just for trading in a Tesla.
@Landry
What was the out-the-door price?
We were about $1300 underwater on the Y so that got added in and we also got the extended bumper-to-bumper warranty. All in, it was $74k with tax. The sticker was around $65k. I’m near Everett, WA, by the way.
I’m a truck guy, wish I could afford one. I’m too cheap to pay more than 20k for a used vehicle for myself. My wife got a $29k GX460 for the kids.

I feel that 100%. Vehicles are so expensive right now it’s almost unreal.
We had 2 Model 3s. Unloaded one for the Lightning Lariat too. It’s nice having a truck, but I think the tech in the Tesla is miles ahead of Ford. Glad we still have one Model 3 for quick errands around town.
@Joss
Ha, that’s what we did. I kept the Model 3 and bought the Lariat. If it’s just one or two people, we take the Model 3. If anyone has to sit in the back, we take the truck.

Yep lol we’ve been doing the same. It’s a fun combo to have.
I’m waiting for a used one to be more in my price range.

Fair, they’ll come down eventually I’m sure. It’s a great truck and worth waiting for.

Almost had a pro with like 20,000 miles for 40k. The dealership was ripping me on interest and add-ons, so they wouldn’t take them off.
