I got it for about $44k after my trade-in. So, $14k down from the full price.
I got the Emporia charger because it was recommended a lot. I’m not sure if there’s a better option, but it works great for me. I really wanted something that would log the kWh used to charge, so I could track it in a spreadsheet.
I came from a Mazda CX-5, which had great gas mileage for my 27k/yr commute, so I want to make sure I’m not spending as much as I was with gas.
But it’s been great, and I can also see real-time usage. Just my two cents!

Thanks for the info! Do you know which model you have? I think they offer a few different ones.

Like Loangoalie mentioned, there’s a plug-in version and a hardwire version. I got the plug-in one, which works fine for me.
I went with the black one for my shop since it hides dirt better. My cable runs through the bottom of the 10’ garage door, and I leave the plug outside in a holster. The charger stays in the shop.

I think the two versions are just plug or hardwire. I’ve had the plug-in Emporia for a week, and I like it so far.

It also has adjustable amp usage. So if you start with a 50A, you can set it to a safe amount, and if you upgrade to 80A, you can adjust it to use more.
I went with the ChargePoint Home Flex, and it’s been great. The app helps track your electric costs, and it offers a NACS upgrade kit for when NACS becomes the standard. You can just swap the cable out for your next truck.
@Shan
That’s awesome. I’m about to get the Home Flex installed, and I didn’t know about the upgrade kit.

Here’s the link for the kit: https://store.chargepoint.com/product/nacs-cable-kit
We got a bed cover (the Ford tonneau manual one). I was worried about people stealing the tailgate, which happens a lot with Chevy trucks in our area.
We also got the light-up Ford logo for the front, which looks great.
Emporia also sells ‘refurbished’ units on their website. I just bought one, and it was about $70 less than a new one.
Didn’t you qualify for the FREE Ford charger?
