I have a 2016 F150 3.5 EcoBoost. Does anyone know which sensor is linked to the P0430 sensor light? I took my truck to the dealer, and they’re saying the light has to be on before they’ll fix the sensor or replace the catalytic converter. I’m really frustrated because I’ve taken it to two different mechanics, and they both told me the same thing.
Any thoughts on what should be replaced? Apparently, there are four sensors, but they have no idea which one needs replacing, which is baffling.
Replacing the sensors might not solve the problem, as this code could be caused by various issues, including:
- Faulty oxygen sensor
- Damaged or improperly connected oxygen sensor wires
- Exhaust leaks
- Damaged catalytic converter
- Oil contamination
- Leaky, stuck, or clogged fuel injector
- Cylinder misfires
- Stuck open EVAP purge valve
- Damaged turbocharger
