Thinking of Trading Tesla Model Y for Ford F150... Is it Good for Long Trips?

I can get 700 miles on my PowerBoost with a 30-gallon tank.

I mostly drive suburban with a 2.7 engine on a 2019 XLT. The range says 375 miles, but I actually get 15.2 mpg.

Get the 36-gallon tank. I get 23 mpg, which isn’t crazy, but it’s pretty good. If you want even more range, get a GMC with a 3.0 turbo diesel. I’ve seen it average over 30 mpg.

My 2023 5.0L V8 gets about 14-15 mpg in winter (temps in the teens or 20s Fahrenheit).

My 2017 3.5L EcoBoost averages about 18 mpg in hilly terrain. On flat terrain, it goes up to 24 mpg, and I’m always passing by those long lines at SuperCharger stations.

I usually get between 620-680 miles per tank in the PNW.

Just posted a road trip screenshot on my profile. The 2.7 EcoBoost is perfect for highway driving but not as good for town traffic. I love my truck, but you don’t buy trucks to save money on gas.

I have a 2024 SuperCrew 2.7. I get 20-21 mpg in town and between 680-720 miles on a full tank. I have the 36-gallon tank, but I haven’t taken it on a long trip yet.
