I am hoping someone can offer some insight into an issue I’m dealing with. My dash keeps showing a “tire pressure sensor fault” warning, but I have checked the tire pressure multiple times and it’s fine. I have noticed the warning tends to appear after I hit a bump. I’m not too familiar with the TPMS sensors could one be loose, or do they typically fail this way? I have an OBD reader but haven’t scanned for any codes yet. Would that help me identify which sensor is causing the issue?
A tire pressure sensor fault warning usually means there’s an issue with one or more of the sensors in your tires that monitor the pressure. These sensors send tire pressure info to your car’s computer. You can possible look for the damage, Check around the sensor to see if there’s any obvious damage or signs of tampering.
