Looks like the front just fell off.

That’s not typical.

Why is it not typical?

Lots of these trucks around, and this kind of damage is rare. F150 Lightnings are still safe.

@Micah
Wasn’t this one safe?

I want to see what the other guy’s car looks like!

Based on the broken red taillight pieces, looks like something big backed into it… maybe a box truck.

You wouldn’t believe it… a Hyundai Elantra.

@Hux
Wow, really?

@Hux
Did you catch it on dash cam or something?

Caught it on the Ring camera, but no dash cam.

So glad I don’t park on the street anymore. Sorry this happened to you.

I’d bet money it’s totaled. My damage was similar, cost $25k and took 3 months to fix.

Yeah, most of the time was waiting for parts. Bumper sensors and the frunk tub took forever to come in.

Had a similar experience… waited a month just to be seen, then more weeks for parts. COVID really slowed down body shops.

Here’s the move: call insurance, get it totaled, buy it back cheap, and use the battery for home backup.

Whether it’s totaled or not depends a lot on how long parts will take.

Did you hit a lawnmower or did you piss off a T-Rex? Hope you’re okay but what happened?

Sorry, man. Might be fixable but it’s gonna be pricey. Probably around $12k for all the parts and labor.

Yours looks worse than mine, glad no one got hurt. My repairs are costing around $22k and will take about 4 weeks.
