I got that style as a replacement for my original adapter. Haven’t used it yet, but I know Ford worked closely with Lectron to ensure their branded version is safe and works well with the trucks. It’s different from the standard Lectron model.
@Ellery
Good to know, thanks for the reassurance!
@Ellery
I’ve been using the commercial version while waiting for Ford to send theirs. No issues so far, even after a few uses.
@Ellery
I’ve been using the standard Lectron adapter all year without any problems.
Honestly, I’d swap the Tesla version for this in a heartbeat.
My order number is super close to yours. Maybe I’ll finally get mine this month!

I actually got a FedEx email first, and then about a day later, the email from Ford. Fingers crossed for you!
I ordered mine 20 days after you, but somehow I’m 30,000 units behind.

It’s wild! I ordered less than 36 hours after the ordering opened and was still in the 45,000 range.
Mine arrived today! Order #46XXX.

I can’t seem to figure out what my order number is.
This one is better than the Tesla version in every way.
So, you got a $200-$250 item for free, and you’re still disappointed?

I get your point, but waiting almost a year was frustrating. I had to buy another adapter since I drive about 30,000 miles a year. While I appreciate the freebie, it was delayed six times, and I thought I was getting a different version. Overall, it’s just been a bit of a headache, but I’m loving the truck otherwise!
Ford worked with Lectron to ensure this adapter is safe for the Lightning. Fun fact: Mercedes-Benz is also using Lectron for their official adapters and testing them for safety and compatibility with their EVs.
Mine came yesterday! #46XXX
Is the Lectron model worse in some way? It looks slightly longer, which might be helpful with those short cables.

I used my Lectron adapter for the first time yesterday, and it worked fine. Someone mentioned Ford gave these out for free.

I read about some issues with earlier Lectron models sticking to Tesla chargers. If I use it, I might keep a C-clamp handy just in case. Maybe Ford fixed that issue with this version.
