I bought a lifted truck because of the look, no other real reason. Do I go off-road technically? But just driving in pastures, nothing like mudding or driving in deep ditches where I really need clearance. My current truck is leveled but I prefer that look to stock.

It’s looks.
Sales figures are interesting. They took all of our sedan, hatchback, and station wagons away and replaced them with virtually identical slushbox SUVs across the board. Ironically Trucks actually have some individuality and character compared to the majority of what’s coming out- so I’m not surprised with the result. Give me a supercharged 2 door mini with a manual again and I’ll buy that. Until then, I’ll keep hauling my boat and motorcycle with my truck.
What are you even talking about, that’s all this forum talks about lmao. How many posts per day are there along the lines of something like ‘what kind of leveling kit should I go with’ or ‘what’s the biggest tire I can fit without rubbing’?
@Charlie
I’m with you ^^ All I see are lift/level posts. I feel like I’m in the minority for not wanting to lift/level my truck. I actually like the look of the forward lean and it’s obviously functional when loaded. On lifting alone, I think it throws off the look of the F150, the design and proportions. IMO they look best in stock format with slightly larger A/T tires. I’ve seen a bunch with 34-35” tires and think the tires look way too big for the truck. And who ever decided that deep dish rims and wheel spacers is a good luck? IMO it turns trucks to trash.
@Charlie
This forum is basically 85% men asking how their truck looks with a level. I laugh every time because it reminds me of a woman asking how she looks in a dress.
@Charlie
Perhaps I should clarify a bit here… At times, I see the ‘what else should I do to my truck?’ posts after someone gets an F150. People like myself and others suggest lifting it and whoever suggests lifting it gets downvoted to all hell like it’s the worst thing one could do to their truck. That’s what this post is directed at: to the people who are anti-mod and anti-lifting/leveling.
@Reilly
If you think an F150 bed is high, try owning a Superduty. And I’m 6’1". Yes you can ‘jump up there,’ but it isn’t going to be 1 step unless you do box jumps in your spare time. And not if you are carrying something. Thus Ford has the tailgate step.
@Shane
I had a 2500hd and the best was so fucking high, grabbing anything from it was a climb in thing. I miss my first-gen taco, I could grab anything from the bed from the ground.
@Kit
Those posts are dumb, that’s why. I can’t tell you ‘what else you should do’ as I don’t know who you are, where you live, what you do for work and fun, how you drive, what the roads are like, what the weather is like, how much money you have, if you have salt to deal with. Why would I tell them to lift it?
@Kit
Most lifts are just makeup and create more problems than they are worth. Unless the person has a functional reason and gets a quality system to lift the truck, they should remain stock.
Furthering my last comment, a lot of trucks look great lifted. Tacomas and gen1 4-runners look amazing. The Chevy ZR2 Colorado is a great looking truck that can take a lift. Hell I even like Subaru Forester and Outbacks with a slight lift. Just not for the F150.
