Does anyone know what’s different about the HVAC system in these trucks compared to the regular F150s? I’m finding it really annoying to keep the side windows clear in colder weather. I have to constantly crack the windows, cycle the AC on and off, and blast the heat just to manage it.
I don’t have any issues unless the recirculation is on.
I haven’t had problems with foggy windows, especially not bad ones.
Try turning it off auto, and set the defrost fan a bit higher.

This is the way.

Then why even have auto if it can’t solve the problem? It’s not really ‘auto’ anymore. Just saying, that’s practical, but why did I pay more for it?
@Kendall
You didn’t pay more. They all have auto.

I paid more for an electric truck, as OP points out.
The A/C isn’t just for cold air; it dries out the air. It will still blow warm air if you have it set to a higher temperature than the outside.

Exactly! Turn on A/C with the heat. It helps.
I haven’t had many issues. I usually leave it on auto low. Sometimes the windows fog a bit when I first get in, but I just run the defroster for a couple of minutes, and it’s fine again.
I haven’t experienced that. Where are you located? Is it very humid where you are?

It’s super dry here in Calgary.
Never turn off the AC. Keep it on at all times.

I keep it on when I’m trying to clear the windows, but it doesn’t seem to help much.

Just leave it on. Always. Even if it’s cold outside.

Why though?
They recirculate more air to save heat.
One reason is that there’s a lot less waste heat coming from the engine. In a regular ICE truck, this helps keep the fog and ice down in cold weather. In an electric truck, there’s none of that.
I also deal with this minor issue. My truck is garage-kept and preconditioned, but my windows still fog. I think keeping the inside of the windows clean helps.
