I found a truck I like at a dealer lot that’s within day trip range. What should I be paying for it and what should I look for when checking out a new F150 STX?

I have this exact truck (same color too) with the Tow Mirrors. I got it a month ago for $49,000. They gave me a discount on extended warranties that included the technology package, so the total came out to $52,500. I put $20,000 down and financed the rest for 72 months. I plan to refinance down to $60 with my credit union, and my monthly payment is $527. I’m in Missouri.
Whoops, I should clarify, I added my down payment above.
@Sky
How are your payments so low? You must’ve put a decent amount down, right?

Yep. I did a private sale for $12,000 and put $8,000 towards the down payment, so the total down payment was $20,000. So, I financed $32,500.
@Sky
Hell yeah, good for you. Hope you enjoy the truck!

Loving it so far. Got 1,500 miles on it already. Went from a Honda Civic to a full-size truck
@Sky
Discount on warranties? Does that mean you bought an extended warranty and got a discount on it, or was the truck used and they discounted it for that?

Bought extended warranties. Dealer gave me a 50% discount.
@Sky
How much did you put down?

$20,000
$12,000 from the private sale.
So really, I financed $32,500.

Looks like $53,875 before tax.
If you want it for something less, you’ll have to negotiate with the dealer, not rely on this forum.
Montana here. No tax.
It’s helpful to know what others paid and what to check for during a test drive.
@Micah
I paid $43k before taxes. I had the 2.7L, though. I’ve driven both, and personally, I like the 2.7 more.
I don’t get why this is getting downvoted. This is actually good advice.
Great negotiating advice /s
Seems high to me.
I got basically this exact truck in Avalanche last month for $48k out the door. It was listed at $43k.
I checked their site for a similar '24 3.5 XLT 302A that I bought last month in Missouri. This dealer seems to be about $3,000 to $4,000 more expensive.
But if it’s what you want, make your best offer and be ready to walk.
I bought the same truck in Avalanche Grey for $45k + TTL. Ended up at $47,500 OTD in Irving, TX.

That sounds almost too good to be true. Are you sure it had the same specs? Red, STX 4x4 201A-FX4 with the max tow package?
@Micah
Sorry about that. Mine’s a 2.7L, no max tow.
