I’m a Chevy guy, but could you do the opposite and replace a bucket seat and console with a bench?

Yeah, you can swap a center console for a flip-up seat/console combo.

If you’ve got a console shifter, moving it to the column could be complicated.

When I ordered my 2017, it was a $370 CAD option. Nice conversion.

Where’d you get the console?

From a local place called Schrams Auto Parts. They’re a junkyard/parts reseller. You can find them on eBay or Facebook for around $400-$500 too.

Looks good. I like how the newer trucks offer both center console and jump seat options.

Seems like too much work if you’re not adding an 8-inch screen.

Upgrading the screen only takes about 60 seconds to remove. It’s just an extra $500 for the unit and trim, so I’ll get to it eventually.

Nice! I’ve been wanting to do this. When I bought my '21, I didn’t have the option for a center console, and I really want one. eBay has them, but they’re pricey. Did you run the AC through the console?

@Marin
Yeah, I rerouted the AC so it comes out of the back of the console instead of under the seats. There are no actual controls on it—just vents. No major issues doing the swap, just used multiple videos for guidance.

The 2017-2020 consoles go for $350-$500 on eBay, but 2021 models are more expensive.

@Finley
All the ones I see are used. I wish Ford sold a new OEM option.

I feel lucky that everything I got came from local sellers. It worked out pretty well.

Actually looks really good.

Just need to add the 8-inch screen to complete it.

I’ve got a bench seat, and this is tempting me to switch. But I’ve got a dog, so I might stick with the bench.

@Orion
My dog loves the back area with the bench flipped up. He fits just right and can keep his balance. He’s a big Goldendoodle.

Not a bad idea. My German Shepherd’s getting too big to fit up front comfortably.

@Orion
It’s definitely safer in the back. My dog loves having the window down and sticking his head out.

Funny, I’m trying to do the opposite and swap in a bench seat.

Hey, I’ve got all the parts you need to do that!

Not sure I’m up for moving the shifter, though.
