I’m thinking about getting my windows tinted and wanted to see what setups you all have. Mine is still the factory tint, but I’m considering doing 35% ceramic all around. Any advice or tips?
I went with ceramic all around. Did 80% on the factory tinted windows and windshield, then 20% on the front two. Honestly, I wish I went darker on the windshield. The heat rejection is amazing though, definitely worth the money.
@Dani
Thanks for sharing! That’s good to know.
@Dani
Agreed. The heat rejection alone makes tinting the front worth it.

My wife rents cars a lot for work, and she always complains about the windshield not being tinted. It’s awful sitting in the sun, especially with a panoramic sunroof.
Mine is 100% illegal, lol.

Haha, yours must be way darker than 20%, right?

Illegal in New York unless it’s factory installed. Otherwise, it fails registration.
I’ve got 15% all around and 50% on the windshield. It’s the perfect balance for me.

Do you ever get pulled over for the windshield tint? I feel like 50% would look great.
@Flint
I have 5% all around and 50% on the windshield. Never been stopped. I drive with my windows down a lot, and my truck is black, so it helps. It’s awesome, but driving at night takes some getting used to.
I’ve got the max allowed in my state, which is 35%.
20% tint here.
I went with ceramic 20% over the factory tint, 20% on the front two windows, and nothing on the windshield because I go through windshields too often, lol.
5% all around with 70% on the windshield.
Ceramic all around, including the windshield. Once you go ceramic, you’ll never go back (pun intended).
18% on the front, 15% over the back, and a visor strip.
35% ceramic on the front and 20% on the sides to match the factory tint on the rears. It’s fine at night on the front, but backing up is tricky with the side mirrors, even with upgraded reverse LEDs. I’m considering adding cube lights to the rear bumper.
I did 70% ceramic on the windshield, 20% on the front doors, and 5% on the back doors and rear glass.
20% on the front doors to match the factory tint and a 5% strip on the windshield.
